Gold N' Daisies Zila Denim Dress

Wednesday, February 28, 2018

Happy Wednesday!

I cannot believe that in just three days I will be on a plane headed to Hamburg, Germany! I am beyond excited and I hope I will pack enough layers to stay warm. I keep checking the weather because there is the chance of snow while I'm there and I'm freaking out. I have never seen snow and I just can't get over the possibility of seeing snow for the first time in GERMANY!

Today's blog post is all about this fun little denim dress from Gold N' Daisies! I have been seeing so much fun fresh denim for spring and have been loving all of it. I've actually been thinking lately how I need a new pair of jeans. 😊 I have never owned a denim dress before and I'm kind of surprised since 90% of my wardrobe is dresses! 😂 The Ziler Denim Dress from Gold N' Daisies is so fun for the cooler weather. You could easily pair this with sandals or wedges for two different looks.

Workout moves you can do without a gym membership

Tuesday, February 27, 2018

Happy Tuesday!

Last year I decided to quit my gym membership because I really didn't want to pay for it anymore and my apartment complex had a decent gym inside of it. Ever since I joined the Tone It Up community, I have been able to take my workouts anywhere, including the beach!

Today I wanted to share a few workout moves that you can do without a gym membership. With the warmer weather finally here, it feels good to be outside! The first move is a standard push up. I am still building my way back up to doing them with the form below (I add a few here and there) but you can also do them on your knees. Below features how you can add a little extra challenge by using a lifted surface.

The next move is toe taps! I love toe taps because you can do these ANYWHERE! You can grab a weight, stand it up and tap that (haha), or a step stool and tap that. The options are endless. This move can increase your heart rate and add a nice burst of cardio to your workout!

If yoga is more your thing, take your practice outside! It is so calming to be outside, plus when it heats up you'll be sweating even more! I see many free yoga classes at the beach, the park, anywhere all the time. You just have to look for them! Sometimes you may have to pay a little but it's usually not too bad. All you need is a yoga mat and water bottle!

There's many other moves that you can do anywhere without equipment or with little equipment: crunches, squats, jumping jacks, plank jacks, etc. If you're looking for some great workouts to try, download the Studio Tone It Up app for tons of on demand classes and classes that you can do in the studio!

Spring Florals with Gold N' Daisies

Monday, February 26, 2018

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Chandler and I had a good time at his cousin's wedding. I always look forward to the reception because as soon as the food has been served and all of the toasts have been given, I basically live on the dance floor. I even joked that I have to be able to dance in my wedding dress when that day comes. If I can't move in it I'm not buying it! Also, the Olive Garden was amazing too. It was funny because the line was SO LONG and when I finally was about two people away, the other half of this family came up in front of me (not okay) and then the DJ announced that the bridal party and bride and groom would be coming in in just a few minutes and for the rest of the food line to go sit down until then.

I thought to myself, "I did not wait this long just to leave with two (now four) people in front of me. I'm staying!" Haha! I'll tell you what though I had so much anxiety. They were going SOOOO SLOW! One guy couldn't make up his mind if he wanted croutons. Who wouldn't want croutons? I instantly knew that we couldn't be friends. Haha! Once it was my turn, I was like I want salad and croutons that's it. I took my bowl, got a plate served myself to pasta because it was faster and then swiftly walked to my table. I felt instant relief. Once all of the toasts were over, I then went and got some water. 😂

In other news, today I'm sharing this beautiful spring look from Gold N' Daisies! I've been sharing more and more of their new arrivals lately and out of all of them, this top is my favorite. I love floral designs on pretty much anything - dresses, tops, skirts, you name it! I first featured their Lily Floral Top in this weekly round up post over a week ago and today I am excited to share the full look which includes their Eve Textured Legging

Not only does the floral pattern on this top pop, but the sleeve details take this it to the next level! The best part about this look is you can pair either of these two pieces with so many different styles. You can choose so many different shades of jeans/jean shorts for the top and almost anything would go with these black leggings! I always keep a few pairs of black leggings on hand and if you're looking to amp up your legging game, these are for you! The texture alone adds a little bit of edge to a standard pair of leggings.

If you are loving their new arrivals that I have been sharing lately, click here to check them out! They have so many other pretty tops and bottoms that you all will love!

February Barkbox

Thursday, February 22, 2018

Happy Thursday!

Today is officially my Friday and I'm so happy. Tomorrow I Diesel and I are headed back home for Chandler's cousin's wedding. I actually still don't know what I'm wearing haha! I should probably figure that out tonight...haha!

Today I am excited to share the February Barkbox! This month's theme could not have been more perfect for Florida and the warmer weather we are experiencing. With the fun beach theme, Diesel and I made our way to the beach for a fun photo shoot!

My box's toys were Cecil's sea shell and Dancing Dani the squirrel.  I also received an all natural hickory smoked chew called the doggie biscotti and two treat bags: real lamb and bacon hula hearts and bacon and fruit snacks on the beach.

Gold N' Daisies Keenan Culotte Pants + Chelsea OTS Top

Monday, February 19, 2018

Happy Monday everyone!

How was everyone's weekend?! Yesterday was the first day of wearing my new Ariat boots and they DEFINITELY need to be broken in. I got to the stable in the morning before my lesson to help out and they were great for that. However, when I went to ride they were so stiff that it was actually kind of hard and painful to ride. I kept getting so frustrated because I was having trouble doing something that I loved. However, I did do my first mini jump yesterday! Which was AWESOME! I don't think it could have been higher than a foot off the ground but it was still awesome. Hopefully in the next few weeks my boots will be broken into so that it'll be easier!

Today I'm sharing this super cute new look from Gold N' Daisies. They just launched a ton of new arrivals on their site that I am loving. This look features their Keenan Culotte Pants and Chelsea OTS Top. I love culotte pants because they truly feel like you're wearing pajamas in public and it's okay. That's why I love jumpsuits. It's a socially okay onesie! Haha! Next is this super cute off the shoulder top. I love a pop of color in my wardrobe, however you can never go wrong with black and white, and in this case a little brown! This look is structured and carefree all in one and is great for any occasion.

P.S. Don't forget to use code SPARKLE10 at checkout for 10% off your next purchase!

Weekly Round Up

Friday, February 16, 2018

HAPPY FRIDAY!

How was everyone's week? I am SO excited that it's finally the weekend. Pretty sure I say that every Friday though haha! Today I wanted to switch it up a little and do a Friday introduction and share some facts about myself before I share my weekly round up post.

1. I am a social media marketer. I started doing natural social (social media without any paid support) and now I work on the paid side, creating and managing all of our brand's paid social media advertisements. This includes Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest! I love who I work with and am eager to see what the future has in store.

2. I have two cats, Oscar and Felix. A few weeks ago, I did an Instagram poll asking if you all would like to see more about my cats and you said yes! Oscar and Felix are brothers and I have had them since they were little. Believe it or not, they are 12 going on 13 years old! How crazy is that?! Besides Diesel, they are my pride and joy and are my original fur children. I love them so much and I plan on sharing some content soon featuring them!

3.  My dog has more friends that I do. I wanted to share this one because it's true and hilarious. Last November, we threw Diesel a birthday party since he turned one year old and I'm not even kidding when I say ALL of his friends (for the most part) came. When I say his friends came, I mean literally over 20 dogs and their owners came AND THEY BROUGHT PRESENTS!!! LIKE WHAT?! I didn't even ask anyone to bring presents. I just wanted Diesel to have a great time playing with his friends for a few hours (so that he would fall asleep for the rest of the night haha) and be happy. But yeah, his friends came, he got presents (and cards), and him and all of his fur-iends got some of the birthday cake that I bought for him. Pretty sure his one birthday is better than my last five!

4. Most of my family on my mom's side lives in Germany. In 2014 I did a study abroad to Germany and it was the best experience of my life. I got to meet and visit with so many family members and I got to hop over the pond to England and see some of my other cousins as well. I also took two years of German in college (I'm a bit rusty now though and need to practice haha). My mom loves it because she can speak German and when I come home we make fun of my dad in German while he's right there in front of us and it's hilarious. For us. :)

5. Last but not least, I love ketchup. I'm sharing this last fact for my coworkers who know how much I love ketchup. I actually keep ketchup packets in one of my desk drawers at work so that I always have some with me for food. One of my coworkers actually went out of her way to get the really good stuff, a.k.a. the ketchup with no high fructose corn syrup and organic. When she brought it in I was like "oh my gosh you got me ketchup" and she was like "actually I got this for the department." So I said, "so for me then?" :) I know it's weird, but we all have our quirks!

Now, let's get into the weekly round up post!

Food:

I am a HUGE fan of Morning Lavender and their girl boss Kim Le. She recently opened up her second location and this one includes a cafe!!! I really wish this would come to Florida so I can enjoy it! If you're in the area, definitely go visit the new cafe and store location!

I recently shared one of my favorite smoothie recipes. This week I discovered Running with Spoons and her recipe for a strawberry banana oat breakfast smoothie! It looks and sounds really good. Get the recipe below.

Entertainment:

Earlier this week I heard that the Spice Girls are NOT going on tour and I was crushed. BUT, I just read on Cosmo that most of the girls have signed contracts for a tour. So...I guess we'll see? Read more below!

Read it here: http://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/music/a18197945/spice-girls-reunion-tour-2018-contracts/

P.S. if you would like a good laugh, here is a video of Kriss Jenner drunkenly singing the Spice Girls. Haha!

See it here: http://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/a18193434/video-kris-jenner-spice-girls-karaoke/

Who else has been watching the Olympics?! Well, Chandler and I don't have cable (#hulu), but we have been keeping up. My favorite thing so far was Shaun White winning the gold with an AMAZING run. If you haven't seen it, click the link below.

See it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6NTcNFjVjE

Also speaking of the olympics, one of my favorite bloggers, Kim is actually at the Olympics RIGHT NOW! Talk about life goals! If you're wanting to see what it's like, head over to her account, look at her pictures and her story and I promise you'll be inspired!

Fashion:

I LOVED seeing the most adorable Valentine's Day photos. This one from Cyn from Hot Pink Pineapples is soooo cute.

NYFW is in full force and I've been living vicariously through so many bloggers, especially Cecile! She went there with H&M and has been sharing about her experience from start to finish and trust me it is so cool! I keep telling myself "one day" haha!

I have been loving Bailey's vacation photos. So many people are visiting the prettiest spots right now and I'm super jealous! Click the link below to look at all of her photos!

I love bright colors. They practically make up my entire wardrobe! Rechael Roe shared the cutest yellow spring dress that is only $18! What a steal right? You all know I'm ballin' on a budget haha!

That's all for this week, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Mint Julep Boutique Bell Sleeve Dress

Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Happy Tuesday!

Was anyone else super tired yesterday? Not only did I oversleep, but once Chandler woke me up I would not budge. Me and the bed were best friends yesterday morning haha! Even at work I was tired all day. We all have those days though!

Today I'm sharing this beautiful dress from The Mint Julep Boutique. I'm not 100% sure what I'm wearing for Valentine's Day but this dress is definitely in my top three options! The lace details are so beautiful and I love the sleeves! This is the second style that I have stepped outside of my comfort zone with. In a previous post I mentioned how I don't like things around my neck. This style does hook at the neck and once again it didn't bother me! Maybe I'm outgrowing this? Who knows!

If you're looking for a cute spring dress that will look good all season long, this is the one to get! Best part is that it's under $50!

Cute Valentine's Day PJ's

Monday, February 12, 2018

Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend?! Chandler, Diesel and I had a fun-filled weekend! On Saturday while Chandler was at work, Diesel and I went to Petsmart for their Valentine's Day celebration. We got treats, coupons, a free sample of cat food for Oscar and Felix, and he got his paw print stamped on the cutest Valentine's Day theme paper. I shared it on my insta story on Saturday. :)

On Sunday, I got to ride a different horse named Jazz and he definitely has a lot of spunk! It took a little getting used to but he was great! While I love my Brandy girl, I liked getting to ride a different horse since every horse has a different personality. Someday when I buy my own horse, it will be good to have different experiences under my belt! Afterwards, Chandler's best friends from back home, Mark and Sarah came to spend the rest of the day with us and we had the best time. I did of course spend some time shooting some gorgeous new arrivals with Gold N' Daisies that you will all see really soon! I just know you're going to love them. :)

Today's blog post is all about the cutest Valentine's Day pj's' from where else? Victoria's Secret! I shared some of their Valentine's Day lingerie the other day and of course I had to share some fun pajamas.

I've never owned anything satin until these pajamas and a dress I will be sharing soon from the Lilly Pulitzer after party sale. They're so soft, comfy, and slippery if I'm being honest haha! If you're looking for something super cute for the fun holiday, these pajamas are a must-have. I couldn't find the exact print online, but they were in store along with other cute prints! I linked the actual pajamas below.
