Diesel's Favorite Dog Treats Right Now

Wednesday, November 29, 2017

Happy Wednesday!

You guys I am so lame! I fell asleep before Victoria's' Secret show came on last night! I'm so mad at myself haha! I guess I'll have to watch it tonight. 😂
Occasionally I share Diesel's favorite treats on my Instagram story, but I haven't done a treat review in a while. Today, I am sharing Diesel's top three favorite treats right now. These are perfect puppy stocking stuffers too!

First off is the apple rosemary chicken jerky from Artisanal Spot Farms. This brand carries many different flavors but this is the first kind we've tried. I'm always looking for new all natural treats for Diesel because I firmly believe that you should give your dogs something you could eat as well. Of course I still give him the classic Pup-Peroni or Beggin Strips from time to time, but otherwise, he gets the extra good stuff!

The second treat I'm sharing is Blue Buffalo's Health Bars. These also come in a few different flavors, but I chose the bacon, egg, and cheese one! The day we were shooting they were out of the flavor I got so this photo is of another great flavor!

I've shared many treats from Blue Buffalo in the past because of their True Blue Promise: NO chicken/poultry by-product meals, NO corn, wheat or soy, and NO artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.

These bars are a great treat and are very healthy for your pup!

Last but not least are True Chew's Premium Jerky Cuts. I have shared another flavor of these before, the duck flavor and today I am sharing the sirloin steak flavor. I honestly think I could buy any flavor of these and Diesel would like them!

True Chew treats are always:

  • Made with 100% natural ingredients
  • Made in the USA
  • Contain USA sourced beef
  • Made with NO corn, wheat or soy
  • Made NO animal by-products
  • Contain no artificial flavors or preservatives
As you scroll down, you'll see we got some really cool action shots of Diesel catching some jerky!

You can find all of these treats at your local Petsupermarket or Petsmart!

Lauren Conrad Little Black Dress

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I am so excited about tonight because the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is finally here !!!! This is the earliest it's ever been and I’m beyond excited!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite holiday dresses. Every girl knows that a little black dress is a closet essential. There's also no such thing as too many! I mean, there's so many different occasions for so many different styles. This dress is also from  one of my favorite brands, LC by Lauren Conrad.

I have been wearing this brand for years. The styles are feminine, soft and beautiful which is just what I like! Hopefully I can meet Lauren one day! You can find this dress and many other LC by Lauren Conrad styles at your local Kohl's.

My heels are also from Kohl's! I thought the maroon velvet style added a beautiful pop of color and texture.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and I'd love to know what you thought of this post in the comments below!

My Favorite Ugly Christmas Sweaters

Monday, November 27, 2017

Happy Monday!

How was everyone's Thanksgiving?! Chandler and I went to my parent's house and had a nice time! My mom and I spent the weekend decorating the house for Christmas as we do every Thanksgiving weekend. We put up the tree, our holiday village, a flag and more! (if you saw my Insta story this weekend you saw the village) The house never looked better! 😂

This season I will be sharing some of my favorite holiday traditions one by one. The first tradition was the decorating and the one I am sharing today is the classic ugly Christmas sweater. I think they're absolutely hilarious and a great holiday tradition. The best part about them is that you can find them anywhere.

The first one is from Altar'd State. Altar'd State has the most pretty and fun holiday clothing and gifts right now. I was in their store last week and saw this and freaked out of excitement because it was just too funny. That's the number one rule with an ugly sweater for me: the uglier/funnier the better! This one features a pug on it and it says "Gansta Wrapper."

The second sweater is from Francesca's. This was the first ugly sweater that I saw and loved how clever it was. I mean, let's be honest, anything that has a Beyonce reference is perfection! If you love a good pun like me, you'll love this.

They also have a ton of other ugly sweaters to pick from too! View more here.

Last but not least is this amazing sweater from Walmart. It says it's out of stock online but they had it in store! Walmart is my absolute favorite place to buy ugly Christmas sweaters. Pro tip: shop in the men's section. The men's section always has the BEST sweaters. They're super funny and they're already bigger so they're super cozy.

I didn't find one that I was in love with from the men's section this year but stock does vary from store to store. I highly recommend looking there and in the women's section to find your perfect sweater. View more of their ugly Christmas sweaters here.

Weekly Round Up

Happy Friday!

Well black Friday that is! :) Who is out there battling the black Friday crowds?! I didn't do too much shopping this year as I almost had to drop a bunch of money on a new computer. Luckily my dad was able to fix it and I was able to do some Christmas shopping. I got most of Chandler's Christmas for $60! Not bad right?!

I am so happy that the Christmas season has officially begun! Every year I wait until the day after Thanksgiving to start doing anything Christmas related. Tomorrow I am shooting a bunch of fun holiday content that I hope you all love and we are decorating at my parents house this weekend too. Christmas really is my favorite time of the year.

As you can tell from the photo above, Diesel loves it too! We always have him dressed in the most festive attire. :)

This week I found some great articles that I hope get you in the festive spirit!

I love love love every kind of Christmas decoration. I don't think there is one decoration that I don't like! Geneva from A Pair & A Spare shared a great step by step DIY for a gorgeous LED leaf garland. Check it out!

This next blog post was really really cool! I am not app savvy in any way. I'm that person who downloads apps for a little bit, never uses them and then removes them for more Iphone space. I know I'm not the only one who's done that! 😂 This blog post featured four apps that are each unique in their own way. If you're looking to save money, this is a great read!

This is by far the cutest holiday themed food dish I have ever seen. Christine from Hello Fashion shared an adorable recipe for pizza wreaths. I mean COME ON! I just realized I saw come on a lot haha! If you're looking to get in the holiday spirit with a classic recipe, this one is perfect!

Since I can't experience a true fall/winter since I live in Florida, I rely on fellow bloggers and Pinterest to fill that void. Wendy from Wendy's Lookbook shared the most dreamy winter outfit! If you're looking for the perfect winter outfit, this is it. P.S. Someone buy me the skirt because it's expensive haha!

This isn't the first post I've shared from Not Jess Fashion. Jessica always shares such beautiful content and this sequin dress instantly caught my eye. The theme of this post was metallic must-have pieces and she shared some great options.

Diesel's First BarkBox

Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Chandler and I are so thankful for so many things, but Diesel is definitely at the top of our list. He has been such a good boy (most of the time lol) and we wanted to give him a Thanksgiving present like no other.

I have been wanting to try BarkBox for a while now, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it or not. Every BarkBox comes with the following each month:
  • 2 themed toys
  • 2 bags of treats
  • 1 chew
While the two theme toys aren't the type that will stay around fur-ever because of my destroyer puppy, they are fun for a little while. The treats that come in the box are really great quality! They are always all-natural and they are made in the USA or Canada! Last but not least, the chew that he gets is probably his favorite part. We have a ton of bones for Diesel to chew on because it's the one thing that he cannot destroy after hours of chewing!

The theme I got was Bark University and oh my god was it CUTE!!! Since I was in a sorority in college, I got a good laugh at the names of the treats: Lambda Treata Phi and Brew Biscuits. All of the toys were also college themed: High Licker (lighter lol) and pup noodles (ramen noodles).

My absolute favorite part of the box was the acceptance letter and course catalog (dogalog) for Diesel. The letter was the most adorable thing I have ever read!!!! It was filled with funny puns and it was signed by the dean of admissions: Bella Ada Tenderloin. I mean COME ON! 😂😂😂 The course dogalog also had the most perfect class for Diesel: chemistry. Fun fact: Diesel farts a lot and I mean a lot. 😂

This box is probably my favorite subscription box I've ever gotten and it wasn't even for me! I swear, as soon as I saw it I wanted to quit my job and go work for Barkbox so that I could come up with clever dog puns all day!

If you're interested in trying BarkBox, head over to their site to get started! You can add more items to your box for an additional charge. You start by identifying the size of your dog (Diesel is big and bold haha). Then you choose what plan you want.

The plans they offer are:
  • 12 months for $21 per box
  • 6 months for $25 per box
  • 1 month for $29
If you have any questions, they have a great customer service team on their chat feature. I've reached out to them a few times with questions leading up to this first purchase and they were great!

What to get your pets for Christmas

Monday, November 20, 2017

Happy Monday everyone!

Diesel and I decided to go holiday shopping the other day at Pet Supermarket and we found some really cute holiday themed presents. I am so excited to share Diesel's first official gift guide.

As soon as you walk into Pet Supermarket, you will see so many holiday themed toys and cookies. Diesel went crazy as soon as he saw! I will say that the toys Diesel grabbed first (that you'll see as you scroll) are definitely for dogs that aren't what I call "destroyers" haha! So far I haven't seen any holiday toys online yet, but that doesn't mean they won't be. I would go to your local Pet Supermarket to see what they have.

Another great present for your dog is a new bed! Diesel has two or three dog beds and he loves every single one. We try to have one in every major room so that he always has his own spot. If your dog always likes being with everyone like Diesel does, I would definitely look into getting one or two!

Diesel couldn't forget about the kitties! I mean, they're his best fur-iends. At least he thinks so haha! We started walking through the aisles and found some great food, cat litter and of course toys!

Oscar and Felix have their own toy box that I made two years ago and it is filled with all of their favorites. If you're wondering what to get for your cat, you can never go wrong with multiple flavors of canned wet food, some delicious treats and some new cat toys. My kitties love anything filled with catnip or covered in feathers.

All of the toys below are Diesel approved!

Diesel really liked this one haha!

You really can never go wrong with a big ol' catnip sack!

Around this time of year, most pet stores also carry gift sets in the shape of a stocking or box. These are perfect for cats! They always contain a great variety of toys which is why I love them. They are usually decently priced for what comes in them.

Last but not least, I have always wanted to buy a cat tree. I think they are the coolest things ever! Diesel and I really liked this one and he helped me inspect it to make sure it was good enough for his brothers.

That's all for Diesel's first gift guide! If you're still looking for some great gifts, make sure to check out your local Pet Supermarket for hundreds of great ideas!
