Happy 2 Years!

Monday, January 23, 2017

January 5th, 2015 I met this sailor named Chandler. To this day, talking to him was the best decision I could have ever made. I don't think I've shared the story of how we met with you guys yet, but the way Chandler and I met is quite funny once you get to know my personality a little better. Chandler and I met at a bar the night of my old roommates birthday. I personally am not a huge drinker but myself, our other roommate and their significant others headed to the bars for a fun birthday night.

Once we got to the bars we were all just talking and I was trying to play pool. When I say trying, I mean I was sucking at pool. I just can't do it! Anyways, we were all hanging out and then all of a sudden three of my roommate's boyfriend's shipmates that we've never met before walk up out of the blue and start saying hi. Of course my roommates immediately told me that I should talk to him. I told them no because I had just gotten out of a bad relationship just weeks before this day.

My friends decided to put us on a pool team together and as soon as I knew I was like well, this should be good! :) We would talk here and there and the more we did the more we discovered how much we had in common. We even found out we lived in the same town for many years (he actually lived on a street across from my mom's shop).

As the night went on, we all decided to leave the bars and hang out at our apartment. We sat on a chair and watched some TV together until it was 4 am. In just a few hours, Chandler was actually heading back home for his leave period. Funny thing, Chandler's home is only 30 minutes from where my parents live.

We continued to text for the next few days until he decided to come up and visit me and take me on our first date. This day was January 5th, 2015 and we went to the zoo. We had the best time and the rest is history. I know that's a cheesy line but it's true!

We really balance each other out. I'm the planner and he's spontaneous. I'm the picky eater and he's the one who will eat anything. I've tried so many new foods in the past two years because of him! He helps me communicate better about important issues when I'd rather be hiding in my room not talking about them. He couldn't have come at a better time in my life and I truly am blessed to call him mine.

Happy two years, Chandler. I love you!

Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale

Monday, January 2, 2017

I have been shopping at Victoria's Secret since I was in eighth grade. Ok, I'm guilty, I still shop there for their sweatpants. 😂 It all started with their PINK collection. I just could not stop buying all of the cute hoodies, sweatpants and accessories!
Every year they have their Semi Annual Sale and I ALWAYS stock up! I love the deals they have on their beauty products, lingerie, panties and more. Ever since we got our puppy Diesel though, we've been on a tighter budget since his expenses are definitely not cheap! So I had to have a little more control over myself when I went there.

I absolutely love the four items below! They're perfect as gifts for yourself or for a friend.

I have always loved the iconic Victoria's Secret stripes and I know I'm not the only one because when I got to the store the day the sale started, this was the only pair left. I also haven't seen this pattern online either, however, they do have so many cute pajama patterns and styles that you can't go wrong no matter what!

These cozy pajamas also came with the cutest matching eye mask!

Every year, Victoria's Secret comes out with a holiday perfume that I can never get enough of and every year I never buy enough of it at their sale. This year I stocked up! If you haven't smelled their 2016 perfume "Eau So Party" I definitely recommend it! It's perfect for day or night and it's not too strong.

If you're like me and love to sleep in loose, comfy pajamas, then this sleep tee is for you! The sayings they put on them are so clever and flirty and I have four of these now that I sleep in on the regular!

Sizing tip: These do run big so I recommend buying a size smaller.

Before I go, I'd like to leave you all with a positive message. No matter what, never go to bed angry. If you're ever upset or get in a fight with a friend or spouse, always work to resolve it before you go to bed. It's not healthy and I guarantee you'll sleep much better and wake up happier...like I am in this photo!
